Focus on trade fair construction, training, and careers
This year, formdrei will once again be represented at my job OWL – one of the largest job fairs in the East Westphalia-Lippe region. The fair has a special significance for us: we have been supporting it as the general contractor since 2008 and ensure that a professional fair environment is created for exhibitors and visitors every year.
At the same time, we will also be represented with our own booth to provide information about career opportunities at formdrei – in particular about training, dual study programs, and technical professions such as electricians in the field of trade fair and event technology.
Trade fair construction for my job OWL – formdrei as general contractor
As general contractors, we are responsible for most of the exhibition stand construction for my job OWL. Our team plans and implements numerous exhibition stands as well as central furnishing elements for the entire trade fair.

Our exhibition booth is 12 square meters in size and designed as a corner booth. The clear, modern design deliberately ties in with the concept of previous years. This means that many elements can be reused, conserving resources.
Special design elements come directly from our own carpentry workshop, including striking wooden slats and an integrated cabin that give the booth a unique touch. All components come from our own inventory and will be reused after the trade fair.
In this way, we combine a well-thought-out booth concept with sustainable trade fair construction, resulting in a trade fair appearance that is 100% climate neutral.
Compact exhibition booth for personal discussions
my job OWL differs from traditional trade fairs. The focus here is not on products, but on companies as employers and the people behind them.
That is why the exhibition booths are deliberately designed to be compact. Many booths range in size from 9 to 36 square meters. This size creates an open atmosphere and facilitates personal interaction between companies, high school and college students, and job seekers.
Direct contact is particularly important for topics such as training, dual studies, or entering the professional world.
Impressive figures behind the trade fair
A lot of planning and logistics go on behind the scenes to make the fair work. Every year, we install around 4,000 individual components for my job OWL.
These include, among other things:

approximately 150 spotlights for lighting

approximately 240 meters of wall systems
With the exception of individually printed self-adhesive foils, almost all elements are reusable. Sustainability is playing an increasingly important role in modern trade fair construction—including in our projects.
my job OWL as a meeting place for careers and the future
Every year, my job OWL brings together companies, school pupils, students, and job seekers. It is an important platform for topics such as training, dual study programs, and entering the world of work.
We are delighted to be part of this trade fair again this year—as general supplier, stand builder, and exhibitor.
